Verena~ of Latin origin meaning "integrity"
Perhaps this version of our Verena Solitaire should actually be called "Verbena" due to the lemony coloring of the 18k Green gold it's been set in. But either way, it's original name rings true. We designed this ring so that we could combine our love of form, and the sculptural qualities of so many of our pieces, with absolute functionality and a setting that ensures every stone will sing.
The sapphire is 1.95ct and comes from the Umba River region in Tanzania. Ethically mined and non-heat treated. To quote a dear friend, "the color reminds me of the shallow waters of the northern beaches of Maine, and the edges of the dark pools in the Caribbean". A silvery blue in the center deepening in its corners.
The band has our signature inverted detail; reading as a simple tapered round band on the outside, and revealing its unique detail on the inside. Like a beautiful secret for the wearer. This version is in a brushed 18k Green gold which gets it's cooler "green" hue by substituting the copper in the alloy for more silver and zinc. We've chosen it for this natural watery blue Umba sapphire because the two seem to bring out the best in each other.
The setting is an open bezel, which provides durability and functionality with its low profile. It also allows for a window to let light in. Optimal for stones with lower refractive indexes such as sapphires, and equally as stunning for diamonds. We love this solitaire because it highlights both the stone and the band in equal parts. It's a true marriage.
This ring is a size 6.5 but can be sized up or down upon request (fees apply). For custom inquiries on similar versions please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
