Our newest solitaire design was created with the intention to be perfect both as a bolder engagement piece, or as an elegant, stand alone statement ring. Not quite a "cocktail ring", nor a delicate daisy, but perhaps a bit more like the proud tulip.
And so it was named for the petal like shape of the band's flared profile. The interior is generously rounded to mimic the exterior, but inversely. It measures 8.2mm at the widest point, and tapers to 3.8mm in the back. The stone here, is actually the stone which inspired the design, a 1.85ct Burmese spinel cut by Glenn Preus (of Hawaii) in his signature cushion cut. The stone's color lends it a mysterious depth that hovers somewhere between indigo, violet, and grey. Glenn's precision cutting gives it vibrance, while the deep shade makes it a sophisticated neutral.
This ring is a size 6 and not available for resizing. But this style is available for custom orders with other stones, in other sizes and metals. Contact studio@katejones.us if interested.
