Toi et moi (or. French)~ mn. you & me
It's said that the original Toi et Moi sprung to life when French emperor Napoleon gave a ring to his love, Josephine, made of two pear cut stones side by side. The stones were a blue sapphire and a diamond.
Our newest style's shape is inspired by antiquity. The band widens at the back and then as it tapers towards the setting, it sweeps, as if to pick up the stones. Subtle movement to keep you forever enamored, I hope. It features two bezel set cushion cut stones~ an antique .76ct grey diamond, flecked with carbon so fine it is hard to see with the naked eye, but lends a silvery color to the stone, and a 1.01ct unheated Sri Lankan sapphire in a blue that changes from violet to grey depending on the light . In an attempt to find the gold that brings out the magic of each stone, they have been set in sandblasted 20k apricot gold whose coppery warmth offsets the cool hued stones. The band measures 1.75mm where it meets the setting and widens to 3.9mm in the back and has a soft, rounded interior.
