The inspiration for the shape of these sweet, dangling earrings comes from the Corculum cardissa, a heart shaped cockle shell. But in the process of carving the piece, there appeared an acorn, a bauble, a heart. All hark back to mementos of bygone era.
A 14k yellow ear wire is threaded through the top of the sterling "heart", and moves freely, giving subtle movement to the earrings. The “heart” measures 17mm in diameter and is hollowed out in the back to make for a very wearable weight.
