If you know us, you know we love the idiosyncratic when it comes to stones, so this opal gets a seat at the top of that list. Unlike most, it's completely transparent. A stone like this would typically become a doublet, which is to say backed with a black piece of material in order to make the colors more vibrant. But the transparency turns it into an utterly ethereal moment. And at risk of sounding corny, it's like a sunset bottled up.
The opal is bezel set in recycled 18k yellow gold and sits on an 16" 18k yellow 1.1mm wheat chain. Our new mini Stone Signet has the same signature details as the original: a double looped bail and a stepped detail on the back, but is made in a delicate 13mm size.
